Currently only 4 of the 7 seats are filled on the Washington State Transportation Commission (WSTC). Those commissioners come from the counties highlighted in red on this map: Clark, Douglas, Spokane, and Walla Walla.

That is ridiculous that there is no representation from the Puget Sound area. I sent an email to Inslee requesting an immediate appointment of the remaining 3 seats on the Commision and demand that at least one of those appointments include someone from Puget Sound. I don’t have high expectations….

Way to go Sue! If half the people who received this article in their email (roughly 1000) did the same as you, there is no question that we would get results.

Update: if you visit that page with the list of commissioners, you will find it has been updated to include 7 members. Apparently 3 were recently appointed by Governor Inslee. This is good news. http://wstc.wa.gov/news/2016/GovernorappointsnewWSTCmembers.htm
