Washington State Transportation Commission is holding a meeting this week to discuss the tolls on I-405 and the operational changes requested by legislators to the WSDOT and WSTC.
The meeting starts at 9 a.m. both Wednesday, Feb. 17, and Thursday, Feb. 18, at the Transportation Building, 310 Maple Park Ave. SE, on the Capitol Campus in Olympia. This meeting is open to the public and persons wishing to speak to the commission may do so during the public comment periods at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday and noon Thursday.

The item related to I-405 is scheduled to be at 3:00pm on Wednesday. You can attend or watch live online at http://wtv.org. There will be an opportunity for public comment at the end of the meeting around 4:45pm. They will also be discussing raising the tolls on SR520 bridge and Tacoma Narrows bridge tolling. Check the schedule. Note: the letter to WSDOT and WSTC from these legislators helps to make progress toward our goals and the resolutions outlined in out petition. It is not everything that is needed and it does not have a means of accountability, but it is a step in the right direction.
